Senior Chief Chowe of Mangochi has urged people in the District and other areas to adhere to COVID-19 preventive measures during initiation ceremonies locally known as Chinamwali. Different areas in the Southern and Eastern parts of Malawi conduct initiation ceremonies as a way of preserving cultural norms and traditions.
