President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera have arrived at the Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA) in Chiradzulu where he is presiding over the graduation ceremony of 897 students of the 19th Congregation of the university.
The students will be awarded diplomas and degrees in various academic disciplines.
Upon arrival, Dr Chakwera and the First Lady were welcomed by the Chancellor of the university, Bishop Thomas Luke Msusa and Deputy Minister of Education, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima and Rev Martin Mtumbuka, Chairman of the council at CUNIMA.
The ceremony has started with a procession of the Roman Catholic Eucharistic Liturgy (Mass).
